Rental Boat Terms and Conditions

These are the Terms and Conditions of the Zugboatrental GmbH Oberägeri (Status as of 01.03.2023)

All safe boating regulations in the lake must be followed including life preservers for everyone at all times. You are personally responsible for any damage to our boat, other boats or other property caused by your violation of safe boating regulations or of Zug Boat Rentals conditions of use.
Boat operator must possess a valid Swiss “A” category license and upon receiving the boat, you must present it.
It is your sole responsibility, as boat operator and renter, to know and obey the sailing rules in the lakes of canton Zug.
Boat operators may not consume alcohol or drugs of any kind regardless of the degree of impairment. Operators shall not consume alcohol during the term of the rental. Operators who are in violation of the alcohol consumption portion of this agreement will be refused a boat and charged for the cancellation.
All operators must have a cell phone on board and we must have their number
You MAY NOT allow anyone else to use or operate the boat. You are entirely personally responsible for any damage caused to our boat or to other persons or properties
No pets are allowed on any boats without express permission.
Boat must be returned on time, there is no grace period for late returns. In the event the craft is not returned at the time specified herein, said lessee agrees to pay overtime at the rental rate.
Boat is to be returned clean and in the same condition as it was when you took it out.
Boat must be returned with the same amount of fuel as when it left or lessee will be charged separately
Boat will not be occupied by a greater number of persons than is shown in the boat’s certificate
Any and all damage to the equipment e.g., damaged Propeller, damaged Bimini Top, missing Safety Equipment. etc. that is caused as a result of the lessee’s operation or oversight is the sole responsibility of the lessee. Do not leave boats unattended.
Prohibited uses: Customers may not use boats for any use not intended by manufacturer or in any manner that is illegal.
In no event shall lessee sub-lease boat to another person or entity. Customer’s rights under this agreement are non-transferable.
Lessor reserves the right to cancel this rental agreement due to inclement or impending bad weather. Rental fees will be prorated based on the time used.
Booking cancelled no less than 48 hours from booking date will received a full refund.
In the event of malfunction, breakdown, or in any defect is discovered after acceptance of the rental craft that lessee will immediately report same to lessor +41 79 487 9864. Continued use of it shall be entirely at the lessee’s risk and thus lessee assumes all liabilities of injury and damage to all persons and property that may become involved by its continued use.
This agreement constitutes the entire understanding of the parties with respect to the subject matter contained herein and shall supersede all other agreements, either oral or written, with respect to the same. This agreement is binding upon the heirs, successors and assigns of the parties.
